I have only two filters in my StockFetcher’s list: JV’s Strict Penny Filter and 4 Day breakout. I was doing some backtesting and results are bit hard to believe. I think there is some problem with how StockFetcher implements backtesting. I need to investigate more.

I assume the 4 day breakout one is from Johnny Vento. What about the fading volume one? How does that one work?

Yng,
I felt that it is not enough that a price is moving for last 4 days. It is important that Volume is moving up too. But if on the 4th day of upwards movement, volume starts fading, it’s highly likely that the stock will make a good short candidate the next day. Overall, I am still experimenting/backtesting and I will create a separate post when I feel that I have obtained good results.

the backtesting function of SF is not really useful IMO, as much as I’d like to take credit for 97% success rate
